Meet Molly, one of our youngest fundraising superstars!
Molly, aged 5, decided she wanted to raise money for Friends of PICU in loving memory of her little brother George who was cared for in PICU last year – and what a challenge she took on. Molly, accompanied by her Daddy, ran a mile a day for 7 days, finishing with Green Park Mini Mile. Molly was joined by her amazing school friends Charlie, Cody and Noah for her 7th mile and final mile at The Green Park Mini Mile. They have raised an incredible £1,750.86 which will be put towards the charity’s purchase of a new ambulance for the PICU Retrieval Service.
Molly’s mummy Megan shared with us “We experienced the work of Friends of PICU first hand last year during our stay in intensive care with our gorgeous George. In his memory, Molly and her wonderful school friends are raising money for the charity. Friends of PICU does amazing work including providing intensive care transfer ambulances that transported George, life saving equipment, emergency parent accommodation and a Family Liaison Nurse who helped support us through the hardest day of our lives.”
Thank you Molly, Charlie, Cody and Noah for your amazing support, and for being amazing fundraising Superstars!
