Join Friends of PICU on their group Trek adventure to the Sahara!
Would you like to trek 100km through this remarkably varied landscape, with stunning day and night views? A 9 day trip in total, taking place 16th – 21st October 2021.
There is no landscape on earth like the desert and our trek in the Sahara Desert transports you to another world. Expect an expedition-style tent, amazing food, a sunset bar, starry skies, and a great atmosphere. It mixes sunshine, camping, and a great achievement, along with your final evening in Marrakech.
From flat desert floor scattered with ancient fossils, to perfect wind-blown sand-dunes, and salt-pans creating strange mirages, the trekking is diverse and demanding. A vast landscape, the desert is a truly surprising and beautiful place to discover, while the incredible star-strewn night skies are unforgettable. Accompanied by Berber guides and a small caravan of camels, the remote night-camps with campfires and Berber singing are often a real highlight of the trip! Back in Marrakech, an evening in the souks provides a real contrast and a great way to celebrate!

1) Full Fundraising – Pay a registration fee now, then fundraise £2,500 to FoPICU charity
2) Part-Payment & Fundraising – Pay a registration fee now, then £500.00 to Discover Adventure and fundraise £1,400 to FoPICU charity
3) Full Payment – Pay a registration fee now, then pay £1,200 to Discover Adventure before departure. You can arrange to make separate fundraising options with Friends of PICU
