About PICU Ellie the Elephant
Ellie the elephant is an intrinsic part of the charity and the support we provide to all the children and their families.
Hospitals can be unsettling places for children and their families, especially when a child is seriously ill. Our Friends of PICU soft elephant is thoughtfully donated to each child who is admitted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit with the aim of providing comfort at a distressing time when a child and family are facing such challenges being on the PICU. A special gift from all who support Friends of PICU.
We would like to share pictures of the PICU patients with their elephant on our new website – to share awareness of the PICU and the amazing support we receive.
If the elephant means a lot to you and you would like to share a picture of your child with their elephant from their time on the PICU or after, we would be pleased to share these.
