We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Fundraising Assistant to join our small team.  This varied and exciting role will be the first point of contact for all fundraising related enquiries and will support the various fundraising activities and administration duties of the Charity, ensuring all our donors and supporters receive excellent support and stewardship and helping Friends of PICU raise vital funds to support the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.

POSITION: Fundraising Assistant

LOCATION: Friends of PICU Charity Office at University Hospital Southampton, with opportunity of remote working, plus regular travel to meet supporters and attend events. Some evening and weekend work will be required.

HOURS: Part-time, up to 25 hours a week.

SALARY: £22,000 – £24,000 FTE.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • To be the first point of contact for all fundraising related enquiries via email, phone, social media, responding in a professional and timely manner with a focus on stewardship.
  • To build productive relationships with individual/corporate supporters and organisations through the delivery of exceptional supporter care and providing timely stewardship to supporters.
  • To manage administration tasks such as thanking, donation tracking and recording.
  • To support various fundraising activities such as charity events and awareness raising.
