One of our Advanced Critical Care Practitioners in PICU, Donna Austin, is currently on a part time research fellowship for a year. During this year, she is looking to develop a research project to understand the PICU experiences of parents of children with long term health needs. She wants to do some patient and public involvement work to understand what is important to you, so that the research is based on your experiences and needs, so that the research is relevant to you and families like you.

The patient and public involvement will initially be a quick video call/phone call to discuss the research project, and then it is up to you how much you want to be involved.  There is no commitment to the project, and any time that you can give for a quick conversation will be gratefully received.

If your Son/Daughter has been in PICU in the past 2 years, and they have long term health needs, and you would like to assist in developing this research, please get in contact with Donna on donna.austin@uhs.nhs.uk
