Are you ready for an unforgettable challenge? The London Marathon is one of the most famous marathons in the world and, for many, part of the ultimate bucket list!
This once in a lifetime race through the Capital is like nothing else. The route takes in many of London’s best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf. And in 2026 you can be part of it with Friends of PICU!
Applications are now open for our charity places. If you would like to take on a new challenge, raise money for a cause close to your heart and apply for a place, please email kerry.houghton@friendsofpicu.org.uk for an application form. The submission deadline for completed application forms is 5.00 pm on Friday 11th July 2025.
Successful applicants will be asked to pay a £100 non-refundable registration fee, and pledge to fundraise a minimum of £2,500.

Terms and Conditions
- Participant must be 18 years or over on race day.
- Participant should confirm, to the best of their knowledge, their general state of health and fitness is good and participants take full responsibility for their fitness to take part.
- Participant pledges to raise a minimum of £2,500, excluding Gift Aid, and understands that 25% of the fundraising total must be raised by the end of January 2026.
- Friends of PICU reserves the right to refuse an application at its absolute discretion.
- Once the place is offered, the £100 registration fee must be paid within two weeks of the offer. Failure to pay within this timescale may result in the offer being withdrawn.
- Once the place is accepted, if the participant is unable to participate in the event for any reason, Friends of PICU is unable to carry the place forward.
- All applications must be submitted by 5.00 pm on Friday 11th July 2025. The application deadline will not be extended. Applications received will be considered by the Board of Trustees during July. All applicants will be contacted by the beginning of August to be notified of the outcome of your application.

If you’ve been lucky enough to get a ballot place in the TCS London Marathon – many congratulations! We’d love to have you join #TeamFoPICU and raise money for Friends of PICU.
