Could you cycle a distance of 215KM with 3,350M of ascent?
That’s exactly what our community supporter, Darren, did when he took on one of the UK’s most challenging Sportives – The Dragon Ride Gran Fondo in Wales – raising a fabulous £1,114.00 for Friends of PICU.
Darren decided to raise money for our charity, and take on this most incredible cycling challenge, following the care that his friends’ daughter received in PICU. A keen cyclist, Darren put in many months of training to prepare for the big day, and it was all worth it when he crossed that finish line.
After the event Darren shared with Kerry “A challenging day in the saddle with some massive climbs, but all worth it for a great charity helping the children and the families that Friends of PICU support. For James, Kayleigh & Hollie, including myself, this was our way of saying thank you. It’s not too late to donate, so please help Friends of PICU if you can.”
Thank you Darren for your support and taking on such an incredible challenge in aid of Friends of PICU. Your fundraising support will help so many children and families in PICU both now and in the future.
